Heard and not seen is all about the conversation. Conversations between cultures, between communities and between people. This page is where you can start to join in the conversation with us and with each other. We want this to be an open forum, where people can ask the questions they may have been afraid to ask, where they can discuss issues freely and openly without fear of approbation or condemnation. Here at Heard And Not Seen we realise that, though in the current climate there may be a sense of apprehension between members of different communities, we also believe that honest and open dialogue is the way to dispel many of the myths different people may have been told of one another. The media’s portrayal of people is often simplistic at best and we are determined to explore and reveal the depths inherent in every member of society. We will not tolerate open racism, though we are more than happy for people to discuss difficult issues, we promise to be sensitive moderators if you promise to play nicely.
General comments about Heard and Not Seen the project or anything else remotely relevant should be posted on this page, otherwise see the questions page, where we can ask each other all those awkward questions we’ve always wanted to and you can also upload your personal stories on the story page.
You can book a facilitated discussion with some of our artists and workers or book a visit to our installation at the Mailbox during the exhibition

Hi Ian
Sorry about that, a glitch with Internet Explorer. I’ve fixed it so you should be good to go now. Thanks for the feedback, we’re always grateful for people who take the time to point out problems like this. Looking forward to hearing from you.

This website called Salam cafe is dead funny. Why can’t BBC do something similar?
Thank you so much for that link, Erika!
That comedy show reminds me of the Canadian produced LITTLE MOSQUE ON THE PRARIE. Have you seen it?
I managed to import the complete first season from America and recommend it highly. I can’t wait for the second season to be released.
